RCC is named as Charity of the Year by Agricultural Society
2nd Dec, 2013
We are delighted to announce that Shropshire RCC has been named as the Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society's 'Charity of the Year'. The exciting new partnership will see Shropshire RCC develop a high profile at the Showground's events throughout the year and staff from both organisations are already working on ideas for a number of collaborative activities.
The ‘Charity of the Year’ partnership with the County Showground was formally launched at Shropshire RCC's AGM, held in the President's Pavillion at the Showground.
The AGM brought together the charity's members, volunteers, staff and trustees who heard many examples of of how Shropshire RCC has made a difference to the life of people across the county during the past year.
Shropshire RCC CEO Julia Baron said:
“We were thrilled to be chosen as the Shropshire and West Midlands Agricultural Society ‘Charity Partner of the Year’.
“There is a lot of synergy between our two organisations and we look forward to a very productive relationship over the coming year.”
Ian Bebbington, society director, added:
“The society is committed to developing strong and fruitful partnerships within the community and we are delighted with this announcement as the RCC does very important work in both the urban and rural community by assisting people in need.
“We look forward to helping them in spreading the good work that they do across the county and also to welcome their presence at our County Show in May 2014.”
